Ensuring Licensure Success: Understanding State Requirements

A professional license or certification is often required to practice and/or gain employment in the field for graduates of a number of 51ºÚÁÏ programs. Professional licensure and certification requirements vary from state to state. We understand that our responsibility to students is to make the determination regarding each of our educational programs that customarily lead to professional licensure and whether each program’s curriculum meets the prerequisites for licensure or certification. We will continue in our due diligence to research and post how the curricular content of the 51ºÚÁÏ programs meet professional licensure requirements in each of the 50 states in which prospective and/or enrolled 51ºÚÁÏ students are located.

Students and prospective students: If you plan to pursue professional licensure, please know that state licensure requirements are subject to change at any time. While a program may originally meet the educational requirements for licensure, changes made by a state licensing agency could affect the program’s ability to meet any new requirements. We recommend that you  in your home state for information and guidance prior to starting a program outside your state.

Relocating to another state after you begin a program could impact whether you meet that state’s requirements because licensing requirements vary by state. If you are considering moving to another state, please  for professional licensure eligibility requirements.
