Bio

I am a certified Physician Assistant with clinical experience in Emergency Medicine in Fort Wayne, IN. After graduating with my Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies from the 51���� in 2018, I worked full time in emergency medicine throughout the Fort Wayne region with Professional Emergency Physicians. I have maintained working a few clinical shifts per month in that same position after transitioning to full time academia in order to stay current on my own skills and on the application of clinical medicine in the field. Much of my passion and educational philosophy stem from my experiences in the ER. In the classroom, I stress the importance of valuing human dignity, developing critical thinking, and developing “soft skills” of patient care and empathy. My teaching role primarily consists of pharmacology content across the curriculum, with an emphasis on imparting an understanding of the “why” and “how” of medicine.
