FORT WAYNE, Ind.—The 51���� proudly announces the following leaders have joined the university or moved into new positions for the 2022-23 academic year:

• Dr. Clifford F. Buttram, Jr.—Division Director of the Keith Busse School of Business and Entrepreneurial Leadership. Buttram also serves as Assistant Professor of Management, Graduate Business Instructor Coordinator and MBA Program Director. 
• Lori Caudill—Director of Simulation. Caudill also serves as Assistant Professor of Nursing. 
• Miles Fulwider—Associate Division Director for Creative Arts. Fulwider also serves as Associate Professor of Music Technology, and Music Technology, Digital Media Management and Dance Programs Director. 
• Julie Gardner—Assistant Dean of USF Crown Point. Gardner served as Director of the Medical Laboratory Technology program at USF Crown Point. 
• Gwen Hefty—Director of Institutional Research. Hefty served as the interim director during the previous academic year. 
• Heather Jeffries—Division Director of Psychological and Social Sciences. Jeffries served as the interim director for several months, as well as being an Assistant Professor and Program Director of Criminal Justice and Criminology. 
• Dr. Michael J. Levan—Interim Director of the John Duns Scotus Honors Program. Levan also serves as Associate Professor of English. 
• Rodney Maley—Interim Registrar. Maley previously served as Director of Institutional Research. 
• Alison Miyauchi—Interim Division Director of Creative Arts. Miyauchi is a practicing artist and designer who served in several roles, including Vice President of Academic Affairs, at Alberta College of Art and Design. 
• Dr. Juanita Oberley—Assistant Division Director for Education. Oberley also serves as Program Director for Undergraduate Special Education. 
• Dr. Lewis T. Pearson—Interim Division Director of Humanities. Pearson also serves as Associate Professor and Course Coordinator for Philosophy. 
• Patricia Rinker—Program Director for the Associate Degree of Nursing at Fort Wayne and USF Crown Point. Rinker previously served as the Undergraduate Clinical Director. 
• James Smith—Site Director of USF Crown Point. Smith joins USF after working at a variety of institutions, including Sodexo, Charter Fitness, Cantata Life Services, University of Chicago Medical Center and Provena Health. 
• Dr. Louise Weber—Interim Director for the Division of Computer Arts and Technology. Weber also serves as Director of Sciences and Biology Programs Director. 

“These higher education professionals bring tremendous experience and expertise to their roles in service to our students. We look forward to their leadership during the 2022-23 academic year,” said USF Vice President for Academic Affairs Dr. Lance Richey.

USF begins its academic year with weekday classes on Monday, Aug. 29. The semester runs through finals the week of Dec. 12 to Dec. 16, with fall break Oct. 20 and Oct. 21 and Thanksgiving Break from Nov. 23 to Nov. 27. Students will return for spring semester term on Monday, Jan. 16, with final exams the week of May 1 to May 5 and Commencement on Saturday, May 6.

Founded in 1890 in the Catholic Franciscan tradition, the 51���� offers more than 60 undergraduate, graduate and doctoral programs through the College of Health Sciences and the College of Arts, Sciences and Business. In addition to its traditional programs, USF designs focused curricula for working adults in Fort Wayne, Crown Point and online. USF Downtown houses the music technology and graduate health sciences programs while offering enhanced internship and networking opportunities for students. The 51����, recognized as an NAIA Five-Star Champion of Character institution, has 18 athletic programs boasting two individual and four team NAIA national championships. Approximately 2,200 students from a broad geographic region attend USF.
