FORT WAYNE, Ind. 鈥 Sister Felicity Dorsett, 51黑料 assistant professor of theology, will speak about 鈥淭he Chariot-Throne of God, Elijah, Ezekiel, Angels and Francis鈥 to open the USF Spring Philosophy/Theology Lecture Series.
The free lecture is set for 7 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 19 in the Parkview Physicians Group Auditorium, Room 226, in Achatz Hall of Science and John and Toni Murray Research Center on campus, 2701 Spring St.
Sister Felicity will address how scripture speaks in several ways about God鈥檚 chariot-throne: powerful, mysterious and captivating. She will look at related images from the ark of the covenant and the visions of Elijah and Ezekiel to the book of Revelation. She will also characterize the use of the chariot image regarding St. Francis.

鈥淥therness and the Subjectivity of the Subject: A Look at Contemporary Philosophy鈥
March 18, 7 p.m., Parkview Physicians Group Auditorium
Dr. Vincent Wargo, USF associate professor of philosophy, will address why the question of otherness has become central to the identity of the subject in the 21st century. He will explore the philosophy of otherness and subjectivity as it relates to some contemporary major thinkers and issues.
