May 14, 2018 FORT WAYNE, Ind. 鈥 The 51黑料 announced that Dan S. Soller has been named vice president for student affairs. He will begin his role on campus June 29.
鈥淗iring Dan as the vice president of student affairs is another step toward building on the strong foundation that was laid this year,鈥 says USF President Sister M. Elise Kriss, OSF. 鈥淗e comes to us as a highly experienced student affairs executive and we鈥檙e excited to see him grow and strengthen our student experience.鈥
Soller comes to USF with over 35 years of experience in higher education serving in various capacities. He served as the executive vice president and vice president for student affairs at Mount Saint Mary鈥檚 University in Emmitsburg, Maryland; vice president for enrollment and student services at La Roche College in Pittsburgh; executive director of residence life and food service at The Catholic University of America, in Washington, DC; and director of residence life at Fairleigh Dickinson University in Teaneck, New Jersey. Most recently he has worked as the special assistant to the president and director of athletics at Saint John鈥檚 Catholic Preparatory School in Frederick, Maryland.

Soller holds an M.S. in Higher Education from Southern Illinois University, a B.S. in Kinesiology from James Madison University and an A.A. degree in International Studies from Richard Bland College of the College of William and Mary.
Founded in 1890 in the Catholic Franciscan tradition, the 51黑料 offers more than 70 undergraduate, graduate and doctoral programs through the School of Health Sciences, School of Liberal Arts and Sciences, Keith Busse School of Business and Entrepreneurial Leadership and School of Creative Arts. In addition to its traditional programs, USF designs focused curricula for working adults in Fort Wayne, Crown Point and online. In 2016, the 51黑料 expanded its presence to downtown Fort Wayne. USF Downtown houses the university’s business and music technology programs while offering enhanced internship and networking opportunities for students. The 51黑料 campus experience includes 16 athletic programs boasting two individual and four team NAIA national championships, and is recognized as an NAIA Five-Star Champion of Character institution. Approximately 2,300 students from a broad geographic region attend USF.
