To apply for a 51�� graduate program, you will need a bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited institution in the United States or international transcripts evaluated by World Education Services.

51�� Requirements

To apply for 51��’ graduate programs, you’ll need:

For U.S. students: A bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited institution in the United States.
For RN-DNP applicants: An Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN).
For international students: Transcripts evaluated by World Education Services.

Program-Specific Requirements

Transition to Teaching (TTTO): The TTTO program is 18 credit hours and prepares the student for the pedagogy exam required by the state of Indiana. The program leads to a secondary education license in grades 5-12. The student will also take the subject area test.
Transition to Teaching Elementary Education (TTTE): The TTTE program is 24 credit hours. It leads to an elementary education license in grades K-6.
Transition to Teaching Special Education (TTTS): The TTTS program is 24 credit hours. It leads to a K-12 special education in Mild Intervention or Intense Intervention.
Master of Arts in Education (MAE): The MAE program is 30 credit hours. It leads to Elementary, Secondary Education Licensure, Special Education Mild Intervention or Special Education Intense Intervention. There is also a non-licensure track available.

Graduate Program Requirements per IDOE:

Elementary Education Requirements (K-6)

All applicants must meet one of the following:

Baccalaureate degree from an accredited postsecondary educational institution with a GPA of at least 3.0 on a 4.0 point scale.
Both a baccalaureate degree from an accredited postsecondary educational institution with a GPA of at least 2.5 on a 4.0 point scale and five years of professional experience.
Both a baccalaureate degree from an accredited postsecondary educational institution and proof of passing state-approved content area examination(s) in the subject area.

Secondary Education Requirements (5-12)

All applicants must meet one of the following:

Baccalaureate degree from an accredited postsecondary educational institution in the subject area that the individual intends to teach with a GPA of at least 3.0 on a 4.0 scale.
Graduate degree from an accredited postsecondary educational institution in the subject area or related field in which the person wants to teach.
Both a baccalaureate degree from an accredited postsecondary educational institution in the subject area that the individual intends to teach with a GPA of at least 2.5 on a 4.0 scale and five years of professional experience.
Both a baccalaureate degree from an accredited postsecondary educational institution and proof of passing state-approved content area examination(s) in the subject area.

All-Grade Education Requirements (P-12)

All applicants must meet one of the following:

Baccalaureate degree from an accredited postsecondary educational institution in the subject area that the individual intends to teach with a GPA of at least 3.0 on a 4.0 scale.
A baccalaureate or graduate degree from an accredited postsecondary educational institution in the subject area that the individual intends to teach with a GPA of at least 2.5 on a 4.0 scale and five years of professional experience.
Both a baccalaureate degree from an accredited postsecondary educational institution and proof of passing state-approved content area examination(s) in the subject area.
